The A7 Ploiești-Siret highway, a key infrastructure project in Romania, has 47% of its 453 km open to traffic. By the end of 2026, an additional 125 km is expected to be completed, enhancing connectivity between Moldova and the capital. Major construction is ongoing on several sections, with some already finished. The highway aims to alleviate traffic on the dangerous DN2 road. Future sections are planned for completion by 2028 and 2029, with ongoing contracts and tenders for remaining lots.
