Aproape jumătate de milion de bugetari riscă să rămână cu salariile înghețate, după noua lege a salarizării

The new public sector salary law may freeze incomes for over 400,000 state employees for several years. Current estimates suggest that 33% to 35% of public sector workers earn above the new salary scales, resulting in unchanged salaries until the scales align with current pay levels. Approximately 1.272 million positions exist in the public sector, with 420,000 to 445,000 potentially affected by this freeze. Key sectors like education, health, public order, and defense employ over 800,000 workers. This salary law is part of Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and has faced delays due to budgetary concerns.
