Aproape 800 de site-uri ilegale de jocuri de noroc, introduse pe lista neagră în şedinţa Comitetului de Supraveghere al Oficiului Naţional pentru Jocuri de Noroc
The National Gambling Office of Romania has added around 800 illegal gambling sites to its blacklist, following a recent meeting. This addition brings the total to approximately 1,180 sites since the current leadership took over. The office aims to combat the black market and enhance monitoring capabilities through advanced detection tools. Since its establishment in 2013, about 1,500 illegal sites have been blacklisted. The president of ONJN emphasized the need for legislative adaptation and digitalization to effectively tackle the issue, as over 70% of the European online gambling market is illegal. Romania has introduced measures such as a public registry of gaming means and QR codes for better tracking.
