In the last 24 hours, mountain rescue teams in Romania responded to numerous emergencies, saving 38 individuals and evacuating three injured by helicopter. The National Salvamont Dispatch received 56 emergency calls, primarily from Neamț and Brașov counties. Additionally, 60 tourists sought advice on mountain trails, highlighting the importance of planning and safety. August sees the highest number of rescue requests due to increased tourist activity. Salvamont emphasizes that many accidents can be avoided with proper preparation and encourages tourists to seek help when needed.
