Recent inspections by the Veterinary Sanitary and Food Safety Directorate in Bistrița-Năsăud revealed a significant absence of approximately 3,200 sheep from various farms. These checks aimed to prevent illegal animal movements amid rising concerns over infectious diseases. The inspections uncovered that many animals were unaccounted for, with owners failing to provide necessary veterinary documents.
