On October 8, traffic police in Sibiu and Brașov conducted a "Cascade" operation on DN 1 to combat speeding and prevent accidents. They issued numerous fines and revoked seven driving licenses. A total of 21 officers used six radar devices, resulting in 178 fines totaling 75,380 lei, with 127 for speeding and six for not wearing seatbelts. Additionally, three vehicle registrations were revoked due to technical issues and lack of insurance. No traffic offenses were reported during the operation. Police will continue efforts to address excessive speed and enhance road safety, urging drivers to adhere to speed limits and adjust their driving to road conditions.
