A web application is being developed to inventory and track trees in Romanian cities, aiming to create a national database of urban vegetation. This initiative by Re-Autentic and InfoCons will allow for the identification of trees via QR codes, recording their GPS coordinates, and providing data on species, health, and distribution. The project seeks to correlate tree data with urban factors like population density and air quality, facilitating better planning for tree planting and maintenance. It also aims to monitor the survival and growth of planted trees, enhancing the evaluation of planting campaigns. The application will be accessible to public administrations and organizations, promoting environmental awareness and urban quality of life.
