The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) will start the advance payment campaign for farmers on October 16, 2026. Eligible farmers can receive advances of up to 75% from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and up to 85% from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). The campaign runs until November 30, 2026, with payments made in lei. Reference amounts for direct payments have been established, with farmers potentially receiving significant sums per hectare and per animal. For livestock, the highest amounts are for dairy cows, while various interventions provide different support levels for crops and livestock. Payments will be made in stages based on eligibility and request authorization.
