Apelul lui Bolojan, ignorat: Consum record de energie

Despite the call from the dismissed Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan for voluntary energy consumption reduction, electricity demand surged to nearly summer record levels. On Wednesday evening, peak consumption reached almost 7,700 MW, with domestic production at only 5,321 MW, leading to significant imports. The maximum consumption recorded was just 295 MW below the summer record from 2026. The pressure on the energy system is exacerbated by the preventive shutdown of a nuclear unit due to low water levels. Bolojan announced a national alert in the energy sector for August and urged both authorities and the public to reduce consumption during peak hours.
