Apele Române: Ultima dintre cele patru barje a fost pregătită pentru scufundarea controlată în Dunăre

The last of four barges has been prepared for controlled sinking in the Danube to manage water levels in Cernavodă. This intervention aims to redirect part of the Danube's flow to the Old Danube, addressing exceptionally low water levels. The barges, loaded with rock, will be sunk one by one to create artificial thresholds that enhance water redirection. Current hydrological conditions remain challenging, with record low flow rates expected to persist throughout the week.
