Apele Române contruiesc un dig pe Dunăre pentru a menține în funcțiune Centrala nucleară de la Cernavodă. Hidroelectrica eliberează apă din barajele de pe Olt pentru a mări debitul Dunării
The National Emergency Committee approved urgent measures to maintain the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant's operation amid record low Danube water levels. Key actions include building a temporary dam, controlled water releases, dredging, and military mobilization. The National Administration 'Apele Române' will construct a dam to redirect water for cooling purposes. Military personnel will assist with topographic measurements and underwater interventions. Additionally, water will be released from Olt River reservoirs to increase Danube flow and generate extra electricity. The plan also includes using water from the Danube-Black Sea canal as an operational reserve.
