The average electricity price on the Day Ahead Market reached 1,639 lei/MWh, with prosumers providing a cost-effective energy source during peak solar production. The APCE criticizes the lengthy settlement mechanism for surplus energy and calls for rule changes to benefit prosumers. They recommend battery installation for energy storage to reduce reliance on grid electricity. Romania has around 400,000 prosumers, with over 200,000 having storage systems.
