This will allow battery and pumped hydro operators to optimize their bidding multiple times a day based on hourly prices, minimizing financial losses. The Euphemia algorithm will manage these new orders, enhancing market participation and efficiency. The design ensures zero risk of loss by validating transaction profitability before execution. Currently, Romania has a total installed battery capacity of 1,161 MW, expected to reach 2,000 MW by early next year, with further growth anticipated.
