Apa Nova și Garda de Mediu, în instanță, din cauza mirosului insuportabil din București și Ilfov
Apa Nova București contests the National Environmental Guard's findings linking the Glina wastewater treatment plant and Vidra waste deposit to unpleasant odors reported in Bucharest and Ilfov. Following numerous complaints, the Guard conducted inspections and issued fines totaling 795,000 lei. They identified deficiencies at Glina that could correlate with a strong odor episode in August. However, Apa Nova argues that the accusations lack technical evidence and plans to challenge the penalties in court. The National Guard maintains that their conclusions are based on concrete evidence, while Apa Nova claims that their operations do not contribute to the reported odors. The situation highlights a legislative gap regarding odor measurement standards in Romania.
