Apa Nova contestă amenda Gărzii de Mediu pentru stația Glina
The dispute over unpleasant odors in southern Bucharest is heading to court as Apa Nova contests a report from the National Environmental Guard. The company denies that the Glina wastewater treatment plant contributed to the odors reported by residents. Following over 1,300 complaints, inspections revealed potential sources of the smells, including the Vidra landfill and the Glina plant. The National Environmental Guard conducted checks and issued fines totaling 795,000 lei, but Apa Nova argues that the findings lack concrete evidence linking the plant to the odors. The case highlights the need for clearer regulations on odor measurement and public health involvement.
