The Bucharest General Council approved an additional agreement with Apa Nova for a new investment program in water and sewage infrastructure worth nearly 500 million euros. The program includes a tariff increase for water and extensive upgrades across all sectors of the city. Two-thirds of the investment will focus on sewage systems, addressing urgent needs due to climate change and urban growth. The project aims to enhance flood prevention and modernize existing networks, with significant benefits expected over the next decade.
