The Italian Association in Romania (RO.AS.IT) filed for annulment, claiming the decree is contestable. Former judge Cristi Dănileț stated that presidential decrees cannot be challenged as acts of power. Eleven organizations from the Italian community expressed surprise at RO.AS.IT's position, emphasizing that the prime minister's appointment is a constitutional procedure. RO.AS.IT, founded in 1993, represents the Italian minority in Romania and is publicly funded. The association has previously contested other presidential decrees.
