A center in China trains individuals to survive typhoons and floods through simulations with winds up to 165 km/h and heavy water conditions. Over 160,000 people have participated in these extreme weather training sessions. The facility, the first of its kind globally, offers experiences that mimic real disaster scenarios, including torrential rains and flood conditions. Climate change is increasing the frequency of such events in China, raising concerns about future typhoons, especially with the El Niño phenomenon. The center plans to open five more locations in the next three years, expanding disaster training to other natural events.
