Antibiotice posts 15.48 million lei in net profit in Q1, down 73.8%

Antibiotice S.A. reported a significant decline in profits for the first half of 2026, with gross profit down 70.21% and net profit down 73.81%. Total revenue decreased by 9.97% compared to the previous year, despite a 5% increase in sales of finished products and active pharmaceutical ingredients. The company maintained its strong market position, ranking fourth in Romania's generic medicines market with a 5.5% share. Operating expenses rose slightly, while earnings per share fell significantly. Antibiotice S.A. continues to lead in several pharmaceutical segments, including ointments and anti-infectives.
