The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) denies rumors of mass vaccination of sheep, stating no such decision has been made. Any measures will be based on scientific analysis and approved by the European Commission. The proposed strategy focuses on a regional approach rather than a nationwide vaccination campaign. ANSVSA will consult with European experts before finalizing any decisions. A localized vaccination plan is suggested for Constanța and Tulcea, while the rest of Romania will not undergo vaccination to maintain free circulation of animals and products. ANSVSA is negotiating with external partners to update veterinary certificates for continued exports.
