ANRMPSG respinge prelungirea cerută de Lukoil Overseas a acordului de concesiune pentru perimetrul Trident din Marea Neagră
The National Authority for Mineral, Oil, and Carbon Dioxide Storage Regulation (ANRMPSG) has denied Lukoil Overseas' requests to extend the concession agreement for the offshore Trident perimeter in the Black Sea. Lukoil sought a three-year extension for an evaluation phase and a 15-year extension for the concession validity. The concession agreement, valid until November 2041, has not confirmed any commercial gas reserves to date. Lukoil expressed regret over the decision and is analyzing the implications while remaining open to dialogue with Romanian authorities and its partner, Romgaz. The company has invested over 700 million euros in the project and previously cited a force majeure case, alongside negotiating the sale of its international assets due to sanctions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
