ANRE impune accelerarea proiectelor de interconectare cu Ungaria și Bulgaria
The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has approved a development plan for Romania's electricity transport network for 2026-2035, urging Transelectrica to expedite interconnection projects with Hungary and Bulgaria. Despite exceeding the EU interconnection target, actual cross-border energy exchange capacity remains insufficient. The plan includes 117 investment projects aimed at modernizing the network to accommodate renewable energy production and enhance energy exchanges. ANRE emphasizes the need for improved interconnection capacity to ensure energy security, especially during periods of high demand. Transelectrica is required to submit an acceleration program for unfinished projects within 30 days, focusing on modern technologies to optimize energy transport.
