ANRE: Amenzi de 11 milioane de lei pentru operatorii de electricitate, gaz și încălzire

The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) reported that energy operators in Romania were fined nearly 11 million lei over the past eight months. From January to August 2026, ANRE conducted 671 inspections, resulting in 1,026 penalties, primarily in electricity supply. The largest fines, exceeding 9.4 million lei, were imposed on electricity providers, while natural gas and thermal energy sectors faced fines of over 1 million lei and 535,000 lei, respectively. ANRE plans further inspections to ensure compliance with energy production regulations and licensing processes.
