The ANPC has launched a nationwide control campaign in gas stations to ensure compliance with law no. 162/2026 regarding fuel pricing. Inspectors will monitor the commercial markups and daily price changes of fuels. The campaign will last until October 31, during which operators must provide monthly information on their markups. Violations may result in fines ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 lei. As of August 30, fuel prices remain high, with gasoline at 9.51 lei/liter in Bucharest and diesel at 10.14 lei/liter.
