The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) imposed 206 fines exceeding one million lei during inspections on the Romanian coast from July 13-19. The checks aimed to ensure consumer rights and safety. In addition to the fines, 161 warnings were issued, and products worth over 48,000 lei were removed from sale. Some businesses had their services suspended until issues were resolved, with violations including unauthorized service areas and inadequate maintenance of recreational facilities. Food establishments were found with improperly stored items and hygiene issues. Dangerous toys and lack of allergen information were also noted.
