Meteorologists forecast a heatwave in southern and western Romania, with strong winds in Moldova and thunderstorms in various regions on Saturday. A yellow alert is in effect for high temperatures and discomfort in Banat, Oltenia, Dobrogea, and most of Muntenia, where temperatures may reach 34-37 degrees Celsius. Wind gusts of 50-70 km/h are expected in Moldova and parts of Muntenia and Dobrogea, while thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are predicted in western Muntenia, eastern Oltenia, and southern Transylvania, with possible hail. Rainfall could reach 30-50 liters per square meter in mountainous areas.
