Weather conditions in Romania are set to change dramatically with heavy rains, storms, and hail expected in several regions. A yellow alert for atmospheric instability has been issued by the National Meteorological Administration, effective from August 25 to August 26. The initial impact will be felt in southern Banat, most of Oltenia, and Transylvania, with the instability spreading overnight to other areas. Meteorologists warn of torrential downpours, strong winds, and possible hail, with rainfall amounts potentially exceeding 50 liters per square meter in some places. Additionally, nine counties and Bucharest are under a heat alert, highlighting the contrast in weather across the country.
