ANIS: Digitalizarea ar putea aduce României 40 mld. euro

Romania's IT&C sector generates around €23.6 billion, contributing 6.67% to GDP, but technology use in the broader economy remains low. ANIS highlights that accelerating digitalization could add between €6 billion and €40 billion to GDP, creating up to 300,000 new jobs. Currently, only 28.7% of companies use advanced technologies, with a significant gap in productivity and investment compared to EU averages. ANIS calls for stable policies to boost research and development, alongside measures to increase the ICT workforce from 222,000 to 300,000 by 2030. The organization emphasizes the need for a clear mandate for digital transformation and industry consultation in policy-making.
