ANIMAŢIE. Cum a fost proiectat Blocul Creion din Constanţa. Povestea din spatele clădirii-simbol
The Pencil Block in Constanța stands out with its unique architecture and historical significance. Built during communism, it features ten stories and a distinctive pencil-like shape. The building offers panoramic views of the city and the sea, making it a notable landmark. Its construction involved 48 concrete columns reaching deep into the ground, supporting both the block and the slope. The architect creatively adapted an octagonal design to fit the era's strict building regulations. Originally thought to be built for party officials, it has housed local residents since the 1990s, including a famous restaurant. Today, it symbolizes Constanța's architectural heritage.
