A tragic accident near Bucharest resulted in two fatalities and 18 injuries when a minibus collided with a truck. Initial investigations suggest the minibus driver was distracted by his phone and failed to maintain a safe distance. The minibus was overloaded with passengers, exceeding its capacity of 20. The collision occurred on National Road 7, where the truck was turning into a depot. Emergency services responded quickly, but two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. Eighteen others were hospitalized, with two in critical condition. Both drivers tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
