The demand for assessments and support has dramatically increased, with over 562,000 referrals made to the NHS. More than 60% of individuals experience wait times exceeding one year, and medication prescriptions have also seen historic rises. Officials acknowledge that services are under significant pressure, unable to meet the growing demand.
