Angajații ELCEN protestează în fața Ministerului Energiei. Sindicaliștii amenință cu greva generală
Several hundred ELCEN employees protested outside the Ministry of Energy, demanding salary increases and the ability to negotiate wages. Union representatives warned of a potential general strike if their requests are not addressed, which could disrupt heating supply during winter. The protest, organized by the Independent Union of ELCEN, highlighted the employees' concerns over stagnant wages amid rising living costs. Similar protests are planned in other cities, reflecting widespread discontent with government restrictions on salary negotiations. ELCEN is Romania's largest thermal energy producer, supplying about 90% of Bucharest's thermal energy needs.
