Angajaţii din România petrec 53 minute/zi pe drum pentru deplasarea dus-întors la locul de muncă, pe un traseu mediu de 17 km
A recent study reveals that Romanians have the shortest commuting distance in Europe, averaging 17 kilometers, yet spend about 53 minutes daily commuting. Despite this short distance, Romania ranks sixth in Europe for commuting duration. Many employees express a desire to work from home more, with 48% preferring current arrangements. The study highlights a mobility issue rather than distance, as 63% of respondents commute 10-29 kilometers, but only 47% complete their commute in under 45 minutes. In Bucharest-Ilfov, the average commute is 73 minutes for 16 kilometers. Public transport is viewed positively by 58% of respondents in this region, despite long commute times. The research involved 16 European countries and over 22,000 participants.
