Employees of the Romanian Agency for Maritime Life Saving (ARSVOM) protested against a new salary law that reduces their pay. Currently, TESA staff earn a net salary of 4,000 lei, which includes food allowances and hazardous conditions bonuses. Workers expressed concerns over reduced crew sizes on intervention vessels, which now often operate with only two members. Union representatives highlighted the inadequacy of current salaries compared to other budgetary units and criticized the government's failure to address their grievances despite previous promises. They emphasized the risks associated with reduced personnel during rescue operations.
