Starting in 2027, ANAF employees will be eligible for performance-based bonuses of up to three salaries. The government approved a methodology that includes both rewards and penalties based on performance indicators. Employees who fail to meet objectives may face salary reductions. The system is part of Romania's PNRR commitments and aims to enhance fiscal administration efficiency. Bonuses will depend on individual and structural performance, with specific criteria outlined for eligibility. Additionally, separate incentives will be available for exceptional results exceeding one million euros in recovered claims. The new system will also apply to ANAF employees in Alba, with the first evaluation year set for 2027.
