ANCOM: Regulamentul european pentru AI trebuie aplicat în România din 2 august 2026. Ce prevede acesta

The European AI Regulation will be implemented by EU member states, including Romania, starting August 2, 2025, with specific exceptions for high-risk AI systems. Each member state must designate competent authorities for oversight and establish national rules. In Romania, ANCOM is proposed as the national supervisory authority alongside other financial and data protection authorities. The regulation outlines the responsibilities of these authorities and the penalties for non-compliance. Certain obligations for high-risk AI systems will take effect later, with some prohibitions starting February 2, 2025. New categories of banned practices will be introduced by December 2, 2026, including those related to deepfake content and child pornography.
