Banca Transilvania has officially confirmed receiving the largest fine from the Competition Council regarding alleged ROBOR manipulation and plans to contest the decision legally. The bank maintains that its actions were compliant with legal requirements and will pursue all necessary legal avenues to defend its position. The total fines imposed on the bank amount to 960.77 million lei, the highest for a banking group in this investigation, which involved ten banks accused of coordinating their behavior during the ROBOR fixing process. Other banks, including BCR and BRD, also intend to challenge the sanctions.
