Anchetă pentru omor din culpă după un accident în masivul Caraiman

A mountain guide is under investigation for manslaughter following a July 11 accident in the Caraiman massif that resulted in one death and three injuries. The guide, who is also the vice president of the Romanian Alpine Club, allegedly neglected safety measures during a climbing workshop. Prosecutors claim he improperly changed the route to a more difficult one without adequate equipment or consideration for the participants' skills. A poorly secured regrouping point led to a fatal fall when a piton failed. The guide is currently under judicial control and prohibited from working as a mountain guide for 60 days.
