Ancheta epidemiologică după nunta de la Palatul Brukenthal din Avrig: ce nereguli au descoperit inspectorii DSP Sibiu

An epidemiological investigation by DSP Sibiu revealed that 22 individuals fell ill after a wedding at Palatul Brukenthal, likely due to contaminated cow cheese. The cheese tested positive for E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus, while the production facility showed mold and yeast contamination. Among the seven staff who served food, two tested positive for staphylococcus. Although other food samples were compliant, the cow cheese was deemed unsafe. The facility's operations were suspended due to hygiene violations, including high ammonia levels in water and bacterial presence. The outbreak is classified as 'probable' due to the symptoms matching foodborne illness, despite the absence of staphylococcus in patient samples.
