An investigation is underway at the Bacău Ambulance Service after an ambulance stopped to buy watermelons while transporting two sick children. The Department for Emergency Situations initiated the inquiry following public footage showing the crew purchasing fruits while a one-year-old girl was unwell. Inspections revealed additional deficiencies in medical assistance during transport, including lack of monitoring for the minors. The crew's actions led to fines totaling 7,000 lei and a disciplinary investigation into the staff's conduct.
