Anchetă a Pachetului European în România: Percheziții la un spital și la un CJ, după o posibilă fraudă cu fonduri europene de milioane de euro

The European Public Prosecutor's Office conducted searches at a hospital and a county council in Romania over suspected fraud involving EU funds. The investigation focuses on a project aimed at purchasing medical equipment to reduce hospital-acquired infections, funded with 4 million euros. Prosecutors allege that the project's budget was artificially inflated through manipulated price estimates, with many offers deemed inauthentic. The case originated from the National Anticorruption Directorate and was supported by the European Anti-Fraud Office. The searches involved multiple agencies, including Romanian police and special intervention units.
