This disparity indicates that the financial benefits of the sector's expansion are being absorbed by rising costs rather than benefiting the workforce. The salary growth varied across different construction activities, with building firms experiencing the lowest increase at 2.2%, while specialized subcontractors saw an 11.2% rise. This imbalance raises questions about who ultimately absorbs the difference between rising costs and stagnant wages, suggesting that a statistical boom does not equate to a healthy sector.
