ANAR: Four barge submerging operations in Danube to take 3 to 4 hours each

The last barge for redirecting the Danube's flow towards the Bala branch was loaded, with sinking operations expected to take three to four hours each. The first two barges will be positioned near the Bala branch entrance, while the other two will create artificial sills to enhance flow redirection. This intervention aims to raise water levels near the Cernavoda Nuclear Power Plant amid extremely low flow conditions. The Danube's flow is at a historic low of 1,400 cubic meters per second, with further declines anticipated.
