Analiză CPAG: România ar fi pierdut 65.000 de locuri de muncă într-un an

The Romanian economy has lost around 65,000 jobs in the past year, primarily in the private sector, leading to an increase of approximately 51,000 unemployed individuals. A report by CPAG indicates that while fiscal adjustments have reduced the budget deficit, they have also resulted in significant economic costs. The analysis highlights that the job losses contribute to a fiscal cost of at least 2.5 billion lei annually. Despite an increase in VAT revenues, other tax revenues have remained stable or decreased. CPAG warns that further tax increases could harm economic activity and job creation, recommending measures to improve tax collection and reduce labor costs.
