Analiză: Bulgaria devine lider mondial în domeniul stocării energiei în baterii
Bulgaria has emerged as a leading global market for battery energy storage, with a projected capacity to transfer 77% of its new daily solar energy production during non-sunny hours by 2025. The country has rapidly increased its battery storage capacity, adding approximately 3 GWh in 2025, doubling to 8.6 GWh by May 2026. This growth is supported by government funding and simplified authorization processes. The combination of solar energy and batteries now meets about 24% of Bulgaria's electricity demand during peak evening hours. In comparison, other regions like California and Chile are also advancing in solar and battery integration, while the EU lags behind in overall battery storage capacity.
