The share of revenue in GDP has slightly increased from 18.3% to 18.7% since 2025. Nica emphasized the importance of targeting risk areas for audits and ensuring that honest taxpayers are not burdened. ANAF is working on methodologies for better control processes, particularly in agriculture, to clarify expectations for compliant taxpayers.
