The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has launched two free applications to help taxpayers verify their D406 SAF-T declarations. These tools allow users to compare SAF-T data with VAT return D300 before submission, reducing errors and compliance risks. The applications aim to assist approximately 580,000 companies that file both SAF-T and VAT returns in identifying discrepancies early. Developed after a pilot phase, the tools ensure that data remains on the user's computer and are designed to encourage voluntary compliance. Feedback from users during the testing phase from September to November 2026 is encouraged for further improvements.
