ANAF descoperă o fraudă de 26 de milioane de lei cu mașini din Germania vândute în România • Newsweek România
ANAF has uncovered a fraud scheme involving over 2,000 used cars from Germany, resulting in a loss of 26 million lei. The investigation revealed a cross-border mechanism using 'missing trader' companies in Hungary and Slovakia to evade VAT. These companies facilitated the purchase of vehicles, which were then sold in Romania with manipulated documentation to reduce tax obligations. The fraud involved fictitious invoices and contracts, with some cars registered at less than 30% of their original price. ANAF has taken measures to secure assets worth 21.34 million lei as investigations continue.
