The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) initiates nationwide checks on businesses involved in the sale and mediation of second-hand cars as part of the ATOM action. This initiative aims to verify the accuracy of financial records and tax documents of selected operators. The first phase targets 35 entities with an estimated stock value exceeding 38 million euros. Inspectors will focus on the alignment between physical car inventories and financial records, the origin and commercial circuit of vehicles, and compliance with VAT regulations. The selection of these operators is based on a risk analysis considering various fiscal indicators. Any identified tax violations will be documented and addressed accordingly.
