ANAF Antifraudă face verificări la 180 de case de schimb valutar din România

The General Directorate for Fiscal Anti-Fraud (DGAF) launches a nationwide operation targeting 180 currency exchange offices in Romania. This initiative, named Operation F.O.C.U.S., aims to ensure compliance with fiscal obligations and prevent practices that could harm budget revenues and fair competition. Following a pilot project that revealed high non-compliance rates among operators, DGAF decided to extend controls across the country. Inspectors will verify proper fiscalization of currency exchange operations and adherence to electronic cash register regulations. The operation will take place simultaneously in various counties and Bucharest, focusing on identified risk profiles. Final results will be announced after data consolidation.
